ABOUT US
About Us
NOA contemporary is an internationally active agency for contemporary art. We work closely with artists, galleries, collections, institutions, and biennials to foster sustainable and meaningful collaborations.
Recognizing the individuality of each artist and their distinct place within the arc of their career, we tailor our support to their specific needs—taking on roles that range from strategic advising to full career management.
With deep insight into the dynamics of the art market and a continually expanding global network, we also advise galleries on refining their strategies, planning future art fair participation, and shaping their artist rosters.
As consultants to private and institutional collections, we assist in the acquisition of artworks—drawing on our broad perspective of market developments gained through our active presence at major art fairs, biennials, and exhibitions around the world.
Our growing network enables us not only to connect with new partners, but to stay attuned to shifts and emerging trends within the art world. Above all, we take the time to listen—understanding the goals of artists, galleries, collectors, and institutions, and helping them move toward those goals with clarity and purpose.
Our Philosophy
We believe that artists, galleries, and collectors thrive when guided by thoughtful, sustainable strategies. That’s why we work closely with our partners—offering strategic management and advisory support to shape future projects and development paths together.
Our focus is always on long-term success and on building partnerships that lead to lasting, meaningful outcomes. We begin by listening carefully to the needs, visions, and goals of everyone involved. Together, we evaluate the context, define a shared direction, and develop a clear, actionable plan.
From concept to execution, we remain engaged at every step—ensuring that ideas are brought to life with precision and purpose. This attentive, collaborative approach is the foundation of the trust-based relationships we build and the enduring impact we aim to create.
Our Story
NOA contemporary was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that artists deserve more than visibility—they deserve strategy, support, and sustainable careers.
Florian Paul Koenig, founder of NOA contemporary, studied fine arts himself. From day one, he had to think entrepreneurially to finance both his studies and his life as an artist. This dual perspective—creative and strategic—shaped his approach to the art world. Over time, artists began seeking his advice. As several of them gained recognition, Koenig naturally transitioned into the role of advisor and manager. Today, this is his main focus and the heart of his work.
Because he personally experienced the barriers to entering the art market, Florian Paul Koenig founded the FPK Foundation—a philanthropic initiative that provides scholarships to art students and supports emerging talent at a crucial stage in their development.
NOA contemporary, originally founded in Switzerland, now operates primarily abroad—planning and coordinating exhibitions, projects, and collaborations with local partners around the world. With a presence at more than 40 art fairs and biennials annually, the agency is deeply connected to the international art ecosystem.
At the core of NOA contemporary is the belief in long-term partnerships. We work closely with artists, galleries, collections, and institutions—developing strategic plans, building networks, and implementing meaningful projects together.
Our story is not just about growing an agency—it’s about reshaping how the art world functions: grounded in trust, collaboration, and sustainable progress. We continue this journey with curiosity, commitment, and a vision for a more inclusive and resilient art market.

NOA art collection
The NOA Collection was established as an additional way to support the emerging artists represented by NOA contemporary. What began as a focused initiative has since grown into a curated selection of works—featuring not only artists from within our direct network, but also those we’ve discovered through our ongoing presence at international art fairs, museum openings, and biennials.
This evolving collection reflects our commitment to artistic vision, diversity, and long-term engagement with contemporary practice.
